One the biggest and most important part of making your own grazing or charcuterie board is selecting the perfect cheese. Here is our helpful Oh Graze guide on what types of cheeses to include on your grazing platter!

The first step is calculating how much cheese you will need. If you need a guide on how much you should include, here is our perfect cheese formula:

· For a cheese platter served as a meal you will need 200-250 grams of cheese per person.

· For a cheese platter served as an appetizer before a meal, you will need 25-50 grams of cheese per person.

Of course, you may need to adjust and increase quantities depending the rest of your accompaniments, your crowd and how many cheese lovers you have!

The next step is curating your cheese list. For the perfect balance, we suggest picking one cheese from at least three different categories:

AGED:

Gouda, Cheddar, Gruyere, Asiago, Manchego, Parmesan (Parmigiano-Reggiano and Grana Padano)

SMOKED:

Provolone, smoked Gouda, smoked Gruyère,

CRUMBLY:

Goat, Feta, Ricotta, Cheddar

BLUE:

Gorgonzola, Roquefort, Cabrales, Stilton

CREAMY:

Brie, Camembert, Buffalo mozzarella, Bocconcini

Once you have selected your favourites, adjust how much of each cheese depending on taste preference and number of guests!

Our most popular combination is: Aged Gouda and Cheddar, Smoked Provolone, Goat, and Creamy Brie!

Enjoy!!
